_ The value of cooking was instilled at a very young age by my
Mother’s passion for creating fine cuisine and my families’ desire to travel. I grew up
with the kitchen table as a cornerstone, a central means of connection. We also traveled quite a bit taking with us
the thirst and taste for new flavors, smells and textures, never shying away
from the exotic but in absolute search for the authentic. The combination of the
focal point of meals and traveling has lead me to where I am today. I stand on
creating flavors that are true and vibrant and meals that are passionate.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to help others. It started very young and continued to grow, mature, change and take a central part in my identity. I started out my adult life teaching ages three to six. I loved it. I loved knowing that I was giving the strongest education, a foundation that would help form these young beings. However, throughout my years I noticed that an incredible amount of children were simply not eating the food they should. After consulting with the parents I noticed a huge disconnect: the parents WANTED to give their family and themselves the most nutritious and balanced meals BUT they either did not have the time or they simply did not know how to cook. After digesting the magnitude of this problem, the concept of Green Gourmet Cooking was born! The roots of cooking were already planted in my soul; authenticity in creating recipes and food were currently apart of my daily life. So, I took a huge leap of faith and started this company all with the goal to change the world with food and a kitchen table.
I currently live with my wonderful husband, Mike, and the cutest English Bulldog, Maya, in a south suburb of Denver. We came to Colorado because we were passionate about the outdoors and what we found is a passion within; where, my dream of cooking, creating and living in the culinary world is a reality. For over a year, I have been a culinary instructor for both children and adults as well as a personal chef. I truly believe that if you have a fervor for something and have a talent for it, you can achieve anything.
